A Voice For Young Families

We all have a part to play in shaping our community's future. As your nominee for Town Council, I commit to upholding these principles as elected representative:
 

• Accountability 
  
  I will serve Carleton Place as a public servant first. Accountable directly to all members of our community, and aware of the responsibility the role requires. 
   

• Public Safety 
  
  I will advocate in the interests of public safety, and commit to helping ensure our streets are safe for all. I will support an updated study of the 2022 Transportation Master Plan and promote the feasibility of enhanced traffic calming measures in our growing community. I will engage with the community to encourage participation in the Lanark County TMP study currently underway, and scheduled for completion in 2027. I will advocate for greater support and resources for first responders including the Lanark County Paramedic Service, the OPP and rural community policing with the county and provincial governments.
   

• Accessibility
  
  I will be accessible to any and all residents of Carleton Place through regular, in-person office hours and meetings around town, at the library or at Town Hall. I will be present and available to chat respectfully at town events, and community facilities. I will communicate with community members directly through official town channels like the CP Scoop and Town Hall Communications. I will be accessible to those on or off of social media through my website, email and newsletter. 
   

• Responsible Development 
  
  I will be committed to the guiding principle of responsible development. Our town is growing -- this will not change. As elected representative, I will work with the community, homeowners, and  town and county administrators, to ensure the services essential to our town’s quality of life grow in lockstep with our population. 
   

• Transparency
  
  I will provide all members of our community my thoughts and considerations on each vote at Town Council when legally able to do so. I believe all members of our community deserve to know the decisions made by Town Council, but also why those decisions are made, and the considerations of those making the decisions. You will find my voting record and thoughts on votes accessible to anyone and everyone on my website.
